WHO WE NEED
Reporting to the Ingredients Division Lead, we are hiring a Customer Account
Manager, Caramel and Bakery Fillings, for a 12–18 month contract to cover a
maternity leave. As part of our fastest-growing division, this is a high-impact
role with the potential to evolve into a permanent opportunity based on business
needs.
You will act as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams,
driving sales growth, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring exceptional
service and flawless execution. With a strong analytical mindset, you will
deliver data-driven presentations, forecasts, and strategic insights that inform
business decisions and fuel customer success.
This is an opportunity to represent a category leader and become a trusted
advisor to leading manufacturers of bakery, snack, and bar products. You will
use your market knowledge and commercial acumen to introduce innovation, shape
product solutions, and drive growth through insight, collaboration, and
executional excellence.
This position may be based at our Brampton corporate headquarters or remote,
depending on the candidate’s location and experience. The role requires up to
25% travel across North America to support key customer and business
initiatives.

You have experience selling ingredients or inclusions to bakery, bar, or snack
manufacturers, and you know how to speak their language. You understand the
pace, pressure, and complexity of scaling innovation within leading food
companies. You are commercially sharp, technically credible, and thrive in a
fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment.

grow your career in a division poised for expansion, with the potential for this
12–18 month contract to evolve into a permanent, high-impact position.
Competitive edge and partnership. Representing a trusted category leader serving
the biggest and boldest brands in bakery, snack, and bar manufacturing, you will
combine technical understanding of formulation with the commercial finesse of
strategic selling. In doing so, you will strengthen partnerships, fuel
innovation, and help differentiate us in the market.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING
- Drive growth in Caramel & Fillings. You will identify and secure new business
within bakery, bar, and snack manufacturing channels. From caramel layers and
fruit fillings to bake-stable inclusions, you will position Skjodt-Barrett
Foods as the partner of choice for differentiated taste, flexibility, and
speed to market.
- Manage strategic accounts. You will deepen partnerships with existing
customers to ensure exceptional service, innovation alignment, and growth
across SKUs and product lines. Acting as the bridge between customers and
internal teams in R&D, Operations, and Supply Chain, you will coordinate
product launches and ensure flawless execution from concept to
commercialization.
- Lead strategic planning and forecasting. You will translate market and
customer insights into actionable growth strategies. By contributing to
monthly and annual planning cycles, you will lead pricing and forecasting
discussions and gather market intelligence to inform business decisions and
shape the future direction of our Caramel and Fillings division.
YOU BRING:
- The industry experience. You have a proven track record in ingredient or
inclusion sales within the bakery, bar, or snack manufacturing space. You
understand the dynamics of selling into this market, from R&D collaboration
to procurement negotiation and commercialization, and can navigate complex
B2B sales cycles with confidence.
- The consultative approach. You build trusted, influential relationships
across functions and levels. You ask insightful questions, listen actively,
and translate technical capabilities into customer value and actionable
solutions that drive growth.
- The drive. You bring persistence, follow-through, and entrepreneurial focus
to everything you do. Detail-oriented and accountable, you take ownership of
deliverables and thrive in a performance-driven culture.
- The analytical acumen. You are skilled in Excel, forecasting, and CRM tools,
using data to shape strategy, identify opportunities, and support persuasive
sales planning.
- The communication skills. Clear, confident, and credible, you can engage
effectively with executives, buyers, and R&D teams alike, representing the
company with professionalism and integrity.
