The IT Director, Enterprise Business Solutions, will work closely with the Head of Global Information Systems to scope, plan, execute and manage the IT Enterprise Solutions system landscape based on our dynamic operational model and digital transformation projects. This role will lead and drive agile system development, adoption of IT best practices, and drive the adoption of enterprise solutions that drive efficiency in business processes and reduce cost of operation.
This position is remote in Canada.
What you’ll be doing:
Conduct in-depth technical discovery process, partner with senior leadership and key stakeholders to analyze and identify technology priorities throughout the organization
In partnership with the Head of Global Information Systems, set the technical direction for all Cronos Group software and systems, leading conceptualization and design architectural roadmaps for new and existing Cronos Group enterprise systems and solutions
Facilitator and catalyst to support continuous improvement, both as it relates to financial processes (e.g. reporting and analytical infrastructure) and business processes (e.g. Prospect-To-Order, Order-To-Cash and Purchase-To-Pay).
Develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analyses for Enterprise application spend and initiatives.
Outsourcing Partner Management experience: extract and maximize output from outsourcing partners.
Interact with peers, direct reports, and other employees in a manner that reflects leadership, encourages open two-way communications, and contributes to exceptional employee relations throughout the Company.
Ensure the Enterprise Applications team attracts, develops, and retains the best people and fosters an environment that motivates the team to fully realize its capabilities in achieving desired business results. Creates detailed architecture diagrams to support large, complex, and cross-functional initiatives. Define, promote, and enforce standards in testing, monitoring, and architectural processes across the Information Systems teams
Owns maintenance of current state architecture of SAP while envisioning a future state architecture aligned with business objectives.
Provides subject matter expertise on all matters SAP related including but not limited to integrations, upgrades, maintaining system integration, documentation of all processes, problem solving system issues, etc..
Ensure applications are effectively managed are comply with all SOX related controls.
Lead and facilitate triage discussions to identify and strategize delivery of work, providing technical consulting for projects that require accelerated intervention
Partner closely with senior leaders and key stakeholders on business development opportunities, gathering requirements, assessing resourcing and cost associated with technical work, providing potential solutions and determining key milestones
Diagnose problems and quickly determine potential solutions, developing and implementing corrective actions that support business operations
A key leader in Finance Transformation activities, providing technical guidance and expertise to ongoing and newly established Transformation projects
Provide technical coaching and mentorship throughout Cronos Group to help accelerate adoption of new systems and strengthen our employees’ technical aptitude
Act as a Culture champion, modeling our How We Roll behaviors to employees throughout our entire company as well as external stakeholders
Partner with suppliers, external vendors and consultants to find ways to improve the company’s software systems and applications
May lead a small system and applications team - recruit, retain, and engage top talent; foster a learning environment emphasizing innovative thinking, accountability, and collaboration through consistent coaching and development
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering or similar field
15+ years' experience in software development with progressive experience designing scalable technical architecture in both cloud and non-cloud platforms
10+ years experience with SAP ERP System (S4 Hana/Rise/Fiori), including business solution architecture experience
5+ years experience with Financial reporting systems for consolidation, budget, forecasting and financial reporting, OneStream Software background preferred.
5+ years experience interacting with internal and external auditors to execute validation of SOX compliance related to enterprise applications.
Exceptional project management capabilities using industry-standard SaaS solutions to track and deliver complex projects on budget and within the agreed upon timeline.
Work closely with the Global Head of IS to deliver solutions to streamline workflows, automate, and orchestrate manual processes.
Demonstrated experience reducing operational expenditures by effectively managing third party vendors.
Progressive experience leading multiple cross-domain engineering projects
Experience in process improvement methodologies, project management methodologies
Broad technology experience in application development, cloud architecture, databases, analytics, DevOps, management and monitoring
Proven leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a highly collaborative and innovate team, driven towards exceptional performance
A player and coach mentality; capable of being an effective people leader while developing your team to operate at peak performance
Exceptional communication skills to articulate technical possibilities and limitations of systems to non-technical colleagues
