Job Description What is the opportunity? Global Functions Technology (GFT) is part of RBC’s Technology and Operations division. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our FIAT team at Halifax. This individual will be reporting to the Sr. QE Manager and will support the QE team on the new and ongoing initiatives. What will you do? Create and execute test cases and test scripts based on business requirements and user stories Collaborate with Business analysts, Developers, PMs and Product owner to understand business requirements, test scope Actively participate in scrum, team meetings, technical walkthroughs and business reviews Work on test case management, defect management, test reporting tools Work independently to plan, prioritize and execute assigned tasks Suggest improvements to testing processes and practices Be able to enhance their own skills and build knowledge in all aspects of the organization What do you need to succeed? Must-have Database/ETL testing experience with good knowledge in writing SQL Queries Exposure to automation script development using Python/Java Experience working in Agile environment Experience with Test Management/Reporting tools like JIRA, Confluence, Qtest Demonstrated ability in written and oral communication skills along with strong presentation skills Ability to determine the information and communication needs of the stakeholders and project A relevant degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a comparable field of study Nice-to-have Experience working with DevOps pipelines – Jenkins, GitHub, UCD Knowledge of automation frameworks especially Robot Basic Knowledge on Unix/Linux commands ISTQB certification What’s in it for you?
