We are seeking a Program Manager – Environmental / Radiological Services to oversee key environmental and radiological projects and support the continued growth of this specialized business area in Canada. Based out of Port Hope, Ontario office.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and expand ECC’s Environmental Remediation Services business across Canada, including recruitment, team development, and strategic partnerships.
Manage large-scale environmental and radiological remediation projects, ensuring objectives, schedules, and budgets are met.
Provide technical direction, project leadership, and client relationship management throughout all project phases.
Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to maintain quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.
Lead or support business development and proposal preparation efforts to secure new contracts and partnerships.
Monitor project budgets, cost performance, and profitability to meet ECC goals.
Develop and maintain internal controls and process improvements to optimize project delivery.
Supervise and mentor project teams in accordance with ECC policies and applicable legislation.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, geology, chemistry, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Experience:
Demonstrated experience managing radiological and environmental projects for government or industrial clients (e.g., PSPC, DND, DCC, AECL, CNL and other Canadian federal/provincial agencies).
10+ years of successful project management experience overseeing cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance.
Experience in mine reclamation/remediation
Proven ability to deliver complex environmental remediation programs under federal or provincial frameworks.
Strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills.
Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, project management tools, and familiarity with cost tracking systems (e.g., CostPoint, EZ TRAC) considered an asset.
Ability and willingness to travel periodically (typically less than 50%).
ECC targeted base salary range for the area is $180,000 CAD to $215,000 CAD on an annual basis. Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
