Job Summary: As a Picker Operator/Crane Truck Driver at Avenir Energy, you will work closely with our Dispatch team to deliver propane tanks safely to our residential and commercial customers. You will also assist with bulk propane deliveries as required, ensuring timely and efficient service across all customer needs. Your goal is to provide a meaningful and essential service to our Avenir Energy customers in a safety-focused and customer-first environment.
Responsibilities:
Load and unload tanks, adhering to all Company and Governmental regulations.
Work with our Dispatch team to develop routes using your knowledge of geography and customer needs.
Deliver, pick up, and swap tanks for both residential and commercial customers in a safe and efficient manner.
Assist with bulk propane deliveries as required, ensuring safe handling and delivery procedures are followed.
Ensure Electronic and Daily Trip Logs are up to date and submitted daily.
Report any potential hazards or incidents to Dispatch promptly.
Ensure compliance with all company and government policies and regulations.
Maintain an up-to-date understanding of TDG, WHMIS, and required training certifications.
Actively participate in team meetings and discussions.
Work schedule will vary — must be willing to occasionally work evenings and/or weekends,
Perform other duties as required by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Must have a valid Class D licence with Z endorsement (DZ).
Crane Certification (or equivalent) is considered an asset — training and certification can be provided for the right candidate.
Propane, or related industry experience is an asset.
Minimum 3 years of commercial driving experience.
Clean CVOR and personal driving record within company standards.
Physically able to perform the demands of loading and unloading propane
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of propane is considered an asset.
Ability to work various shifts.
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
