The Sales Representative is responsible for achieving sales growth and profitability of the department and maintaining current customer relationships and creating new customer relationships.

Responsibilities
Promote sales to existing clients
Identify and solicit potential clients
Assess clients' needs and resources and recommend the appropriate goods or services
Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit clients' needs
Develop reports and proposals as part of sales presentation to illustrate benefits from use of good or service
Estimate costs of installing and maintaining equipment or service
Prepare and administer sales contracts
Consult with clients after sale to resolve problems and to provide ongoing support
May train customers' staff in the operation and maintenance of equipment
May conduct sales transactions through Internet-based electronic commerce
Must participate in all training programs made available through Peterbilt or outside vendors
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
5 years’ proven sales experience
Experience in heavy duty/medium duty trucks is an asset
Completion of Sales Training Program
Completion of Post-secondary certificate, diploma, or degree program is an asset
Knowledge of heavy duty/medium duty truck inventory
Knowledge of MS Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, etc.)
Good written and oral communication skills
Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environment
Effective problem solving and negotiating skills
Effective conflict resolution skills
Compensation Rate
$45,000 - $50,000 annually + commission
