Job Description
As a Junior Systems Engineer on the CAJI program, you’ll support the design, integration, and testing of advanced mission systems that enable critical decision-making for our customers. You’ll work closely with experienced engineers to translate complex requirements into real-world solutions.
Requirements & Design
Participate in the requirements elicitation process and prepare requirements documents and specifications.
Develop, document, and review system designs and use cases, define system interfaces, and conduct analyses with support from lead and other senior engineers.
Integration & Testing
Develop Integration and Test Plans and Procedures, including configuration descriptions and expected outcomes, in accordance with design documents.
Build, configure, and validate test environments
Build, debug, and maintain enterprise networks. Network analysis at layers 1 through 7 of the OSI Model.
Execute formal and informal test procedures, gather appropriate measures and data, analyze and interpret test data, and prepare test reports.
Develop and maintain automated test tools and scripts
Support external test events and field trials
Collaboration & Communication
Assist in planning and coordinating test activities
Share knowledge and skills with other team members.
Coordinate with the other teams on design and testing.
Identify, investigate and document defects, and verify solutions.
Deliver presentations to GDMS-C management and customers.
Continuous Improvement
Manage requirement mapping to test cases.
Contribute to process optimization and promote knowledge sharing across teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
0–2 years of experience in a systems or software engineering environment
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with enterprise networks, system integration, or testing (an asset)
