Recruiter ● Manon Belanger / manon.belanger@airliquide.com / 514-241-9029 Job Description Summary: The primary function and purpose of this position is to fill and handle high-pressure cylinders in compliance with safety requirements in order to meet customer expectations and ensure operational efficiency, while promoting ALC's quality and safety objectives. The incumbent works with industrial, food, and medical products. Key Responsibilities: 1. Prepares empty bottles for filling: Sorts bottles by product and checks for defects. Cleans bottles and performs smell tests. Replaces labels on bottles and enters information into the CMS (bottle management system - Servitrax). Medical products are prepared in accordance with specific required procedures. Perform all tasks in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). Bottle preparation may include painting bottles, operating an oven, vacuuming bottles, and other related tasks. 2. Responsible for filling cylinders: Responsible for starting and stopping filling equipment. Connects cylinders and pipes and purifies residual gases using a vacuum pump. Fills cylinders according to the product preparation sheet and the filling log assigned to the gas with which it was filled. Complies with established filling standards and enters data to ensure product traceability, particularly for medical products. 3. Quality/Safety: Promotes ALC's quality and safety objectives. Knows and complies with all safety and quality requirements, policies, and procedures to be followed when on ALC property. Reports any safety issues to the Production or Safety Manager. Ensures that appropriate corrective and preventive measures are in place to address customer complaints. 4. Ensures quality control: Understands and follows procedures according to current operating instructions provided in the Technical Reference Manual (TRM). Analyzes and releases the product when it meets the specifications in the product preparation sheet. Ensures bottle maintenance with regard to defects, appearance, and labeling. Sends rejected bottles to bottle maintenance. Participates in daily plant cleaning while keeping tools and equipment in good working condition. 5. Participates in work planning and management: Records the number of bottles filled as well as any delays in the established schedule. Notes any irregularities, serial numbers, and any relevant information and sends everything to the people in charge. ___ Are you a MATCH? Required Qualifications: Forklift license. Ability to work indoors and outdoors in adverse weather conditions. Ability to easily lift 22 kg/50 lbs. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge/experience/training in welding is a significant asset. Knowledge of compressed gases is an asset. Previous experience in shipping/receiving is an asset.
