EBC is looking to add a Deputy Quality Director to add to our growing organization!
The Deputy Quality Director will act as the corporate quality representative for civil and building projects located in Ontario (including the Ottawa office) and British Columbia, ensuring coordination, project startup, quality oversight, and technical support throughout the construction lifecycle.
Responsibilities:
Representation and Coordination
Represent the corporate quality department for all projects in Ontario and British Columbia
Collaborate closely with bid teams and the corporate quality bid manager to:
Draft qualifications
Prepare proposals
Assess quality requirements during the estimation phase
Project Startup and Implementation
Responsible for identifying and mobilizing quality resources in collaboration with the Quality Director and continuous improvement
Lead quality startup activities for projects
Develop quality plans in coordination with construction teams
Contribute to the development of Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
Collaborate on the creation of checklists with field teams
Implement GED/ACC systems for managing quality deliverables, in partnership with the project services team
Train construction teams and project quality teams
Monitoring and Continuous Improvement
Provide technical and process support to project teams
Conduct weekly reporting to the Director of Quality on project progress
Organize, participate in, and manage quality audits for projects in Ontario and British Columbia
Requirements
10–15 years of experience in quality management on construction sites
Proven track record in implementing quality plans, ITPs, and managing quality systems throughout the full project lifecycle
Strong communication skills with project teams and clients
Ability to manage multiple projects across multiple provinces
Bilingual (French/English) is an asset or required depending on location
Willingness to travel regularly to British Columbia for varying durations
