Job Summary:
Operating from Fort McKay Incubator Park or Fort McKay Industrial Park, this position is physically demanding and involves the service of our Washbays, cleaning equipment. Washbay Labourers should be physically fit to work in all weather conditions. Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Spot equipment into position safely.
Proper use of specialized P.P.E. while performing daily duties.
Completion of daily documentation, including but not limited to field-level Hazard assessment, near-miss, and Hazard IDs, pre- and post-trip inspections.
Execute daily work instructions received from supervision, dispatch, or management in a timely manner.
Complete daily housekeeping/cleaning to ensure maintenance of company image.
Maintain the work area and ensure it’s safe and organized.
Attend daily toolbox and safety meetings as scheduled and adhere to corporate and site safety regulations and procedures.
Clear work areas by removing debris and hazardous materials, and assist in waste disposal and recycling activities.
Operate high-pressure monitor for steam cleaning.
Steaming equipment in all weather conditions with a pressure washer while wearing full PPE and a rain suit.
Working at heights.
Working near haul trucks/mining support equipment.
Working around chemicals.
Complete pre-wash inspection checklist.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
Possess a valid Class 5 operator’s license with clean driver’s abstract.
Previous site experience an asset.
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
Able to speak, read and write in English.
Clear verbal and written communication skills.
CSTS and OSSA, BSO or CSO Certification.
H2S Alive or H2S Awareness
Valid WHMIS Certification.
Must successfully pass pre-employment screening.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. (will be doing a lot of lifting and working outdoors).
Must be able to work collaboratively with all colleagues.
