Job Description
The House of Commons’ Digital Services and Real Property is currently looking to staff the Senior Director, Digital Infrastructure, Media and Program Delivery position.
As the Senior Director, you will provide visionary leadership and executive oversight to a Center of Excellence, integrating key functions across:
IT Infrastructure, covering enterprise networking, data centre platforms, and campus-wide connectivity
Digital Media and Connected Systems, including audiovisual, broadcasting, physical security and IoT-enabled systems
IT Program Integration, focused on strategic planning, governance, and delivery of technology initiatives
In this role, you will be responsible for both the strategic delivery and operational performance of core digital infrastructure and services that support a secure, modern, and connected parliamentary environment. You will lead transformation initiatives while ensuring reliable day-to-day operations, strengthening operational resilience, fostering performance excellence, and enabling the adoption of emerging technologies across the precinct.
Reporting to the Director General, Digital Platforms and Infrastructure Solutions, you will lead a team of Directors, Product Managers and specialized professionals ensuring strategic alignment, operational accountability, and integrated service delivery across all domains.
This role plays a key part in advancing the House’s long-term digital strategy, driving innovation, collaboration, and seamless digital experiences for Members, staff, and Canadians.

4 weeks’ vacation (minimum)
This role will oversee teams responsible for delivering mission-critical infrastructure services within a 24/7 support model. As such, work activities related to this role may require irregular hours to meet our operational requirements. As part of this position, you must work onsite.
Qualifications
Education :
Diploma or degree in a relevant field such as Information Technology, Business Administration, or an acceptable combination of education, training, and experience.
Experience :
Experience providing executive or senior leadership in digital infrastructure, digital media and connected systems, including oversight of service continuity and operational resilience;
Experience leading the design and implementation of multi-year enterprise strategies, technology roadmaps, and service delivery frameworks, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities;
Experience managing multidisciplinary technical teams and fostering collaboration across diverse stakeholder groups;
Experience overseeing large-scale capital projects or transformation initiatives with enterprise impact, involving complex stakeholder environments, cross-functional coordination across business and technical domains, and the integration of diverse technology platforms and operational requirements;
Experience managing budgets, resources, and supplier relationships to ensure service excellence operational accountability, and innovation;
Experience providing strategic advice and solutions on complex or politically sensitive technology issues.
Experience engaging with industry partners, service providers, and vendors to develop sourcing strategies, manage complex relationships, and ensure alignment with business objectives, innovation goals, and service quality standards.
Assets :
Experience enabling parliamentary business through digital solutions, with an understanding of House and Committee proceedings, and the unique needs of Members and parliamentary partners.
