The Day Shift Supervisor plays a key leadership role in the Maintenance Department, overseeing maintenance operations across all buildings while also performing hands-on equipment repairs as needed. Serving as the primary point of contact for operational requests, this position manages and supports technicians on shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and productive work execution while responding to high-priority requests and maintaining smooth shift handovers. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership, and coordination to ensure maintenance activities are completed effectively and in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
Permanent Full-Time (40 hours)
Monday to Friday 6:00am – 2:30pm (flexible)
In this role, you will:
Supervise and support maintenance technicians across all Lower Mainland buildings during the Day shift, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant work practices.
Serve as the primary point of contact for operational requests, prioritizing and assigning work based on maintenance management direction and responding promptly to RUSH and high-priority tasks.
Perform hands-on maintenance work with a focus on troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and equipment reliability improvements.
Coordinate with production and facilities teams, communicate parts and material needs, and facilitate effective shift handovers to maintain repair continuity.
Monitor and validate maintenance activities, report performance or policy issues, and escalate safety concerns and downtime events as required.
You have:
Red Seal certification (or equivalent) and at least 5 years of experience maintaining and repairing packaging or manufacturing equipment.
Ability to lead and coordinate a multi-trade maintenance team across multiple locations and shifts.
Strong communication, organization, and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure.
Solid knowledge of GMP standards, CMMS systems, and equipment such as compressed air, vacuum pumps, and HVAC systems.
Safety-conscious, dependable, and positive attitude, demonstrating mechanical aptitude, teamwork, and a focus on customer service.
