We are currently looking for a full-time Export Logistics Agent to join our vibrant team. They will serve as a vital bridge, facilitating seamless communication and coordination among customers, shipping lines, terminals, and internal departments, ensuring efficient execution of operations.The ideal candidate will embody Ray-Mont’s core values: Quality, Flexibility, Performance, Commitment, Attitude, and Innovation.
Work Schedule: Typically Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, Hybrid (3 days in office)
There may be a possibility of a Tuesday–Saturday schedule.
Note: The employee will be required to be present at the office every day during the initial 3-month training period. After training, the employee will be required to attend the office 3 days a week, with additional in-office days as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage customer needs and inquiries promptly and efficiently.
Review orders daily to ensure compliance with customer requirements and adjust as necessary.
Ensure all inbound cargo to terminals has appropriate terminal authorization prior to arrival.
Create accurate and detailed transloading instructions for terminals.
Maintain positive relationships with Ocean Carriers and terminals.
Generate required reports internally and externally.
Understand and uphold customers' contractual requirements, escalating when necessary.
Collaborate with the Commercial Group on various tasks including booking creation, order setting, quote generation, and handling invoice disputes.
Coordinate changes of destinations while cargo is in transit, including re-export processes.
Collaborate with claims, per diem, inventory, and resolution teams.
Communicate with the commercial team regarding any changes or service issues.
Advise shippers promptly on major changes regarding estimated time of arrival (ETA)
Qualifications & Skills
1-3+ years of relevant experience in shipping/ logistics industry
High School Diploma is required, Certificate or CEGEP/College education is preferred. (Logistics/ Supply Chain)
Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook), and specialized logistics software.
Excellent typing and data entry skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills in English (French is an asset).
Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, and adaptability to different situations.
Work Environment: Corporate office setting in Montreal, QC.
