Role Summary Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Co-op Student will support performance and improvement initiatives in the production and packaging areas. You’ll contribute to projects as a lead or key stakeholder, depending on your experience and interests. This role offers hands-on learning and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on operations. Responsibilities & Duties: Collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production teams on mechanical/manufacturing projects (e.g., bottling line upgrades, cellar equipment, facility improvements). Propose and lead improvement initiatives aligned with your academic interests. Support automation and production enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability, and technical capabilities. Coordinate, plan and schedule projects pertaining to maintenance shutdown work Work with the Maintenance Department to improve maintenance practices and site reliability. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and recommend process or capital investments. Develop and expand maintenance schedules and procedures. Provide technical support to teams (Production, Packaging, Utilities, Winemaking). Promote, practice, and champion safe work habits including regulations, procedures, machine guarding and contractor safety Learn and apply HACCP, ISO and GMP principles to support product quality. Qualifications: Enrolled in a Manufacturing or Mechanical Engineering Co-op program. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Autocad experience considered an asset. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated and able to manage multiple projects. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively. Basic understanding of LEAN manufacturing principles. Willingness to work in both indoor industrial and outdoor environments.
