The Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Civil CAD Technician to join our growing Civil Engineering team. The successful candidate will support the design and delivery of infrastructure projects across a range of sectors, including land development, transportation, and municipal engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and revise civil engineering drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and related design software.
Develop site grading plans, servicing layouts, road profiles, and utility designs under the direction of project engineers and technologists.
Assist in the preparation of construction documents, quantity take-offs, and as-built drawings.
Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to ensure design accuracy and project coordination.
Maintain drawing standards and file management within Ecora’s QA/QC processes.

Qualifications

Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology or related discipline.
2+ years of relevant experience in a civil design or drafting environment.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D; experience with Revit or GIS software considered an asset.
Strong understanding of municipal infrastructure design standards and drafting practices.
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
Eligibility for registration as an AScT or C.Tech with ASTTBC (or equivalent) is an asset.
