Role reports to: Quality Laboratory Manager Location: North America, Canada, Ontario, Guelph Work Location: Fully Onsite What you will do The Sr. Analytical Supervisor is responsible for coordinating all analytical project activities related to new product introductions and formula/process changes, including method validation, process validation, and raw material qualification. This role acts as a deliverable owner and cross-functional representative for analytical initiatives and ensures project execution from protocol preparation through final reporting. The Sr. Supervisor leads laboratory non-conformance investigations, manages protocol exception reports, and drives team growth and development. As part of the extended MAKE Quality Leadership Team, this role supports Quality Control testing and review, cleaning validation, and site chemical safety programs. Key Responsibilities Review and approve site quality documentation (Change Control Assessments, Test Methods, Laboratory Investigations, Validation Protocols/Reports, Batch Records). Act as Quality representative on projects impacting new/existing products. Schedule analytical laboratory testing and project deliverables. Troubleshoot and perform RCPS for equipment and software. Support site audit readiness. Coordinate financial cross-charges for NPI projects with site project managers. Supervise direct reports. Other Responsibilities Lead or participate in continuous improvement initiatives. Act as delegate for the Quality Laboratory Manager when required. Provide training and guidance on Good Laboratory and Documentation Practices (GLP, GDP). Collaborate with project teams to meet priorities, checkpoints, and timelines. Analyze complex data to develop creative and effective technical solutions. What we are looking for Minimum degree in Science, Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Quality, R&D, or Production within pharmaceutical, food, or water industries. Strong computer/system proficiency (Empower, LabWare LIMS, SAP). Thorough understanding of Health Canada GMPs, CFRs, and ICH Guidelines. Analytical and/or microbiology lab experience is an asset. Strong data evaluation and communication skills. Proven organization, prioritization, and multitasking ability. Demonstrated decision-making, problem-solving, and leadership capabilities. Knowledge of Lean or Process Excellence principles (asset). Experience with validation and mentoring junior professionals. Education: BSc in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or Engineering. Industry Experience: Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, or Food sectors. Direct reports: 5–6 (Quality Technician II, Quality Scientist I/II, Analytical Co-op). Participates in hiring, training, performance reviews, and work planning.
