Job Description What is the Opportunity? The VP, Operational Risk, Controls & Governance is responsible for overseeing and conducting process-level Risk & Control Self-Assessments (PRCSAs) within the Capital Markets segment, leading cross-functional groups to systematically identify, document, evaluate and assess operational risks and control environment effectiveness across key business processes, while coordinating with business and functional stakeholders to ensure comprehensive risk coverage and documentation. What will you do? Lead the implementation, and enhancement of process-level Risk & Control Self-Assessments (PRCSAs) across Capital Markets business units and affiliates, including process mapping of key processes and a comprehensive assessment of end-to-end process risks, leveraging existing business unit Risk Registers, and identifying additional risks from handoffs between different process groups responsible for steps within processes. Work closely with business and functional stakeholders to enhance and maintain Risk Registers for each business unit, with real-time input and assessment of residual risks. Work with ORE, Issues management and other internal controls teams to ensure comprehensive assessment of residual risks across the CM footprint. Foster, develop and maintain strong working relationships with senior functional partners and business process management to adequately support the business. Proactively identify operational risk/control deficiencies in the business unit processes and assist in developing solutions / mitigating controls. Support components of the Regulatory Compliance Management (RCM) assessment process, assisting with enhancements where opportunities exist. What do you need to succeed? Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Risk Management, Economics, or related field Minimum 5-7 years of experience in operational risk management or related financial services roles Proven track record in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration Preferred experience working within first line of defence in capital markets or investment banking environment Preferred proficiency with process mapping applications (Visio, Lucidchart, Blueworks, Mural, etc.) What’s in it for you?
