As a Laboratory Analyst, you will support daily operations by ensuring high-quality analytical results with quick and accurate turnaround times. Job ResponsibilitiesYour primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):• Independently operate laboratory instruments including:GCs, ICPs, IC, Auto-Titrators, Viscometers, Digital Density Meters, Dean Stark, and particle size analyzers specific to Petroleum Plant Operations• Perform sample preparation• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) consistently• Deliver high-quality analytical data accurately and on time• Handle glassware and equipment efficiently for extractions, refluxes, and sample preparation• Maintain proper calibration, quality control records, and routine maintenance procedures• Execute daily troubleshooting on analytical equipment• Ensure compliance with Bureau Veritas policies, certifications, and accreditations• Participate actively in Health & Safety programs (meetings, hazard assessments, near-miss and incident reporting)-
What You BringYou ideally have:• Post-secondary diploma or degree in a related discipline (e.g., BS, Petroleum/Chemical Technician) — required• Experience as a Laboratory Analyst — an asset• Sound knowledge of sample handling and QA/QC procedures• Knowledge of laboratory Occupational Health & Safety practices for handling hazardous materials• Excellent manual dexterity, attention to detail, record-keeping and problem-solving abilities• Flexibility to perform varying duties as priorities shift• Strong time-management, communication, multi-priority and organizational skills• Good computer skills• A positive attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team-
