Sales & Production Planning’s objective is to provide the optimal vehicle supply for Honda Canada and the dealer network in Canada. The supply plan is balanced by production constraints, the Brand’s objectives, Honda Canada profitability and the overall brand auto sales plan/strategy. Sales & Production Planning is looking for a passionate and highly motivated individual to support the department’s objectives by maintaining the appropriate vehicle trim mix and allocation of their assigned models/series. On a monthly basis, the Sales & Production Planning Planner will recommend necessary adjustments to production plans, while adhering to the Honda inventory standards and profitability targets. The Sales & Production Planning Planner is responsible for utilizing the production allocation system (DRiVE) while managing its parameters to ensure equitable allocation/distribution of their assigned model/series across all Zones. From a vehicles inception to arrival at dealership the Sales & Production Planning Planner must coordinate monthly production orders, regional and dealer production allocations, as well as complete vehicle model maintenance. This is a permanent position at Honda Canada’s head office in Markham, Ontario and provides a mix of in-office and remote work flexibility. From time to time, the position will require travel to North American face-to-face meetings, conferences, and production facility visits. RESPONSIBILITIES Work and correspond with North American Production Control (NAPC), American Honda and production facilities on production orders and factory constraints; Input all future forecasts and factory production orders into the Advanced Planning System (APS), and conduct purchase contract reconciliations; Analyze dealer order requests, sales trends, and model inventory levels to recommend vehicle allocation strategies to Sales Operations/Zones Oversee supply and sales review meetings to set future vehicle orders for factory production; Upload requested dealer orders by vehicle model/trim/option/colour into the DRiVE allocation system and apply orders to dealer plans; Model Maintenance: Upload model/trim/option/colour/pricing information into computer databases; Take an active role in system enhancement projects and execute continuous improvement solutions; Support new vehicle launches by working with multiple internal and external stakeholders. Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS University or College Degree/Diploma in Business or Supply Chain Management required or equivalent; Minimum 2 years of experience in a related field Excellent understanding of Honda’s policies and procedures Previous Analytical role and/or understanding of supply chains; Intermediate Proficiency in Excel; Excellent Analytical skills; First-rate Problem-Solving skills; Strong Communication skills; Able to work in a fast-paced environment; Knowledge of Automotive business an asset. Develops and maintains good working relationships with all members of the team; Develops and maintains good working relationships within Honda North America as well as all other internal and external stakeholders; Enjoys team building approach of management and department - shares results.
