We are a SaaS unicorn that is growing exponentially, and are looking for a Solutions Engineer Manager to join our Americas Sales Org. As a Manager of Solutions Engineering, you will work closely with internal teams like Product & Engineering, Security team, Design team, Customer Success as well as the Partner Network teams to ensure the best possible solution recommendation for our future customers.

What you’ll be doing
The role will start within the current North American business as a player/coach and as the Staffbase Latin America presence grows, own the technical sales process for that market
You work with our Account Executives to build and deliver engaging demos to prospective customers that spark excitement
You work with our prospective customers to find the best technical setup for their internal communications needs and remove technical obstacles to winning deals
You run technical evaluations of the Staffbase platform and consult on different integration methods
You position yourself as a strategic partner to our Account Executives and a trusted advisor to our prospective customers
Consult prospects regarding our APIs, our architecture recommendations and implementation approaches
Interfacing between sales and product to always have cutting edge industry and product knowledge and inform product development with learnings from our prospects
Crafting and building RFP response documents which position the Staffbase product in the best possible manner.Developing comprehensive RFP response documents that effectively highlight the Staffbase product's strengths
You take ownership of ensuring the proposed solution during pre-sales is being accepted and executed in post-sales (and overall customer satisfaction) by CS
As a Solutions Engineer you’re a role model and mentor to less experienced Solutions Engineers on the team, lead by example, and have an impact on how Solutions Engineers play a role in the broader sales process
What you need to be successful
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Information Science, Informations Systems, Business Engineering, or role/technical experience to replace degree requirements
You’ll need to be fluent in Spanish — ideally a native speaker or someone who grew up speaking it as your first language. Clear, confident communication in both Spanish and English is essential to the role
5-8 years of experience in a similar role, (SaaS pre-sales/solutions engineering/solutions consulting)
Solution-focused understanding of REST APIs and how to interact with them
Strong understanding of the enterprise software landscape architecturally and SaaS industry concepts/integrations: SAP, Workday, ADP - style HRIS SaaS applications as well as user identity management frameworks like SAML & OIDC
Solution-based mindset to identify & mitigate any gaps being introduced by architectural practices of cloud vs. legacy applications
While you’re not required to be a full stack engineer, you should have a general understanding of web development and knowledge of common technologies You shouldn’t be afraid to whip up an MVP that interacts with our APIs
You bring the ability to quickly understand technical concepts and effectively communicate them to technical and non-technical audiences
Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentations)
You enjoy communicating and working with customers directly
Strong interest (and ideally experience) in the Employee Experience space
