The Manager, Data Analytics and Strategic Insights is responsible for leading the foundation's data strategy and using data to generate actionable insights.
This role supports evidence-based decision-making across multiple departments by translating complex data and business intelligence into meaningful analysis and clear recommendations. Where appropriate, this role will also be responsible for creating data collection systems and implementing data-collection processes to aid in the analysis and evaluation process.
This is a highly collaborative role and will require someone who is as comfortable engaging senior stakeholders and building relationships as they are with their data analysis skills.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to work hands-on with data, extract meaningful insights, and communicate those insights effectively to senior stakeholders.
This is a new role within the Azrieli Foundation. We are looking for someone with a passion for data and storytelling who can build this function to become a trusted source of insight, supporting smarter, more data-informed decisions across all areas of the foundation’s work.
Key Responsibilities
Insight Generation, Data Creation, Collection & Strategic Reporting
Create new and build upon existing data platforms, design and implement measurement frameworks to assess and inform the Foundation’s activities
Implement systems, processes, and best practices to ensure consistent capture
Analyze data from across the foundation to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities that inform strategic decision-making
Develop dashboards and narrative reports that communicate insights clearly to leadership and teams
Project and model future scenarios to support planning, resource allocation, and organizational goals
Build and track strategic metrics that reflect performance and progress across programs and operations in collaboration with the appropriate teams or stakeholders
Translate findings into actionable insights and compelling narratives for senior leadership, staff, and external stakeholders
Support Board-level reporting with tailored data visualizations and summary insights
Data Strategy, Design & Collection
Work across the foundation to assess data needs, identify gaps, and recommend what data should be collected to support learning and decision-making
Collaborate with colleagues to design consistent and effective data collection methods
Lead efforts to improve data quality and usability by shaping and streamlining collection and input processes
Ensure data practices align with organizational values, goals, and reporting needs
Learning, Evaluation & Impact
Support teams in defining meaningful success indicators and using data for continuous improvement
Contribute to the creation or development of frameworks for assessing the impact of the foundation’s work
Contribute to the organization’s learning culture and support evidence-informed reflection and evaluation
Operational Data Management & Systems
Maintain integrity and consistency across all data sources used within the foundation
Design and update tools to support internal reporting, planning, and analysis
Support improvements to systems and workflows for collecting, storing, and accessing data
Collaboration, Capacity Building & Culture
Work closely with colleagues across all teams and functions to ensure shared ownership of data
Act as the Foundation’s "Data Champion," offering training and support to enhance data literacy
Serve as a connector between data and staff, facilitating understanding and use of insights in day-to-day work
Foster a culture of learning, continuous improvement, and evidence-informed decision-making
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
5+ years of professional experience in data analytics, impact measurement, program evaluation, or a related field
Experience working in a nonprofit, foundation, government, or mission-driven organization strongly preferred
Advanced degree required in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, Economics, or the like
Strong communication skills, including excellent written and oral presentation abilities.
Solid interpersonal skills and a strong convener and influencer.
Technical Skills
Strong proficiency in advanced data analysis and visualization tools
Experience with data analysis methods; comfort with qualitative data and mixed methods is a plus
Data analytics, research, conceptual and problem-solving skills required to design and manage implementation of complex data and business intelligence strategies to support research, program evaluation, performance management and other data-related initiatives.
Familiarity with data management, governance, and ensuring data quality across systems
Advanced skills in MS Office, including tools used for business intelligence, analytics, evaluation and knowledge management.
Analytical Thinking & Communication
Demonstrated ability to extract, interpret, and synthesize insights from complex datasets
Strong storytelling and data visualization skills; able to communicate clearly with non-technical audiences
Experience presenting insights to senior leadership and supporting strategic decision-making

Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in a collaborative, values-aligned environment
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
Comfortable building out new tools, systems, and processes from the ground up
