Hours: Part-Time. Morning classes, 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, 2 to 3 days a week (Monday to Wednesday, 10 days per month)

The Opportunity:
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide quality delivery of assigned courses within the Paralegal program, utilizing a variety of instruction strategies, techniques, and delivery methods to meet the individual learning styles of the students, in a safe and civil learning environment. Instructors are responsible for teaching assigned courses in accordance with course competencies, taking daily attendance, and as required, grading class tests, assignments, and exams.

What you’ll be doing:
Deliver high-quality classroom instruction, using a variety of teaching methods and resources to accommodate diverse learning styles. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Facilitate hands-on training and practical exercises to ensure that students gain the necessary skills and competencies required for their chosen profession.
Design and administer assessments, quizzes, exams, and assignments to evaluate student performance. Provide constructive feedback and support to help students achieve their academic goals.
Encourage active student participation and engagement in the learning process. Offer guidance and mentorship to students.
Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Attend workshops, conferences, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills and subject matter expertise.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information. Ensure compliance with College policies and regulations.
Ensure students are on course; communicate progress to Campus Director or Education Manager or Program Coordinator/Faculty Head.
What you bring to the position:
Licensed Paralegal or Lawyer in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
Minimum 3 years of related practical experience.
Ideally you will have experience with matters in small claims court, contract law and/or employment law.
Proficiency in a variety of legal software programs is essential, including Clio.
Prior teaching experience is required.
Your professionalism combined with intermediate MS Office skills, superior communication and organizational skills will be essential to success in this role.
