BC Place is hiring a temporary Contractor and Vendor Relations Manager – FIFA Support to join the Facility Operations team.
We are seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced Contractor and Vendor Relations Manager – FIFA Support to oversee daily operations, contractor/vendor management, and facility upkeep to support operations leading to and during the FIFA World Cup event at the stadium in 2026. This is a hands-on, full-time role focused on the efficient receipt, tracking, and coordination of goods and services entering the BC Place Stadium. This individual will serve as a key liaison between internal departments, third-party service providers and FIFA representatives, ensuring efficient logistics and materials handling, contract and vendor services and relationships, safety, operations and maintenance, and supporting guest experience.
This role is specifically tied to FIFA-related operations. It will commence shortly and is expected to conclude on October 2, 2026
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
In collaboration with the Contracts and Vendor Relations Manager, Facility Operations, this position will;
Manage all third-party vendors and contractors, including facility maintenance, safety, security, landscaping, and food & beverage services.
Serve as the primary point of contact for contract arrangements, compliance, and service level agreement (SLA) enforcement.
Evaluate vendor performance and conduct service audits.
Collaborate with procurement and legal teams on RFP processes and contract renewals.
Work directly with FIFA’s inventory systems, ensuring full compliance with their processes and protocols.
Operate in parallel with internal systems, including Momentus, to maintain accurate and consistent internal tracking.
Coordinate and participate in the receiving of goods and services, ensuring they are cleared and moved from the checkpoint into the stadium efficiently and securely.
Support the physical receiving and handling of materials, including operating or coordinating with forklift operators and other receiving staff.
Collaborate closely with internal teams, FIFA representatives, and third-party vendors to maintain seamless material flow and inventory accuracy.
Evaluate vendor performance and conduct service audits.
Collaborate with procurement and legal teams on RFP processes and contract details..
Ensure Contractor and vendor information is entered into company information system (Momentus) for control room.
Liaising between various departments attending daily and weekly Meetings.
Creation of requisitions for materials parts and supplies
Assist in tracking expenditures against budget.
Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on vendor performance, operational status, and project timelines.
Assist with obtaining quotes for projects.
Assist Project Team with stadium - building information.
WHAT YOU BRING:
5+ years of experience in logistics materials handling and or facility operations or vendor/contractor management, preferably in a stadium, arena, or large-scale venue.
Proven experience negotiating vendor contracts and managing third-party relationships.
Understanding of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.).
Familiarity with data entry tools such as Microsoft Office, database systems, and other relevant record management software is necessary
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-profile event environment with shifting priorities.
Physically able to support receiving operations, including the handling of materials.
Forklift operation certification (preferred but not required).
Experience with Momentus or a work order system is an asset.
Familiarity with union labour environments an asset.
Excellent communication, organizational, and project management skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
The salary range for this position is $66,983 – $83,729
Offers will be in line with PavCo’s internal pay equity and qualified candidate’s experience and education.
Vacation pay is 8% and will be paid out on each bi-weekly pay.
