Position Summary
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Carpenter to support our senior licensed carpenter with residential renovation projects. The ideal candidate has experience with rough and finish carpentry, framing, demolition, structural repairs, and general renovation tasks. This role involves assisting the lead carpenter as well as performing independent work, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and compliance with building codes. Strong work ethic, tool proficiency, and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities:
Assist with and perform rough and finish carpentry, including framing, flooring, roofing, trim work, door and window installations including interior and exterior finishes.
Support renovation projects through material handling, measuring, cutting, shaping, and assembly using hand and power tools.
Help complete structural repairs, corrections, and reinforcements of homes.
Perform demolition safely and efficiently while preserving structural components.
Install cabinetry, millwork, baseboards, stair components, and other finish materials.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications (as skill level allows).
Maintain clean, safe, and organized job sites; follow all safety procedures.
Assist with troubleshooting construction issues and contribute to effective solutions.
Work independently on assigned tasks or support the lead carpenter as required.
Communicate effectively team members.
Education/Skills/Experience:
We are looking for an experienced carpenter with 3-5 years of experience.
Experience in carpentry with residential renovations.
Strong knowledge of structural carpentry, framing methods, and rural repair techniques.
Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment.
Ability to read plans and measurements accurately.
Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to learn and take direction.
Physical stamina for lifting, bending, climbing, and working in various conditions.
Understanding of job-site safety and basic building code requirements.
Maintain a clean work area.
Other duties as assigned.
