Job Description What is the opportunity? As a Settlement Analyst, you will settle or process all transactions assigned on a daily basis in a timely and accurate manner. What will you do? Process the settlements of securities and handle all trade exceptions on a timely basis Possess good knowledge of the products and systems required to accomplish daily responsibilities Portray a high level of knowledge of Securities Settlements and its various functions Be able to reconcile account differences and issues and articulate to the proper channels what the issues are Have excellent communication skills in order to work with coworkers and internal clients alike Provide a high level of customer service Have the ability to deal with high volumes of trades to ensure settlement Reduce risk and cost to the firm by escalating all potential issues to management Assist management with any ad hoc requirements / tasks Be a team player who collaborates well with associates and management Strictly adhere to all firm policies and procedure Have proficient skills in Windows based products such as Outlook, Word, Excel Have the ability to multi task in a pressured environment Remain up to date on a number of desks so as to be able to back fill throughout the year Interface with various business lines and branches along with counter-party operations teams to rectify any settlement discrepancies Be available to work a 7.5 hour day (37.5 hours per week) +1 hour break, occasional overtime required. Within North American business hours (8am 5pm EST) What will you need to succeed? Post-secondary education or equivalent Good understanding of settlement trade life cycle 0 – 1 year of relevant experience Strong communication skills Good computer skills Ability to work independently and to solve problems using knowledge and experience What’s in it for you?
