We are looking for full-time, Position seeking long-term employment.
Sounds interesting? Here’s what your day would look like as a Printing Press Assistant at Tempo:
Review the press schedule to retrieve all necessary dockets, artwork, and sleeves from the Mounting department.
Determine the correct film type, width, gauge and unwind for each roll, while checking material for quality standards and orientation before loading into machinery.
Confirm sludge tanks have room for wash-ups, solvents are filled to appropriate levels, and collecting set-up rolls.
Ensure color standards are met through anilox verification and replenishment.
Retrieving all necessary inks and solvents for current and upcoming orders. Assist in the calibration of the anilox rollers and viscosities of inks to maintain colours.
Return all used inks to proper location as well as dispensing any required ink from the dispenser.
Acquire the correct sleeves, rollers, anilox and carriers for current and upcoming orders.
Maintain a high level of housekeeping and cleanliness standards by cleaning anilox rollers, ink splashes, sleeves, racking, ink trays, and other applicable units when necessary
Rebuild doctor blades, when necessary, accurately track all changes made of chamber and blade changes on assigned press.
Daily completion of the Press Assistant Checklist.
Protect the health and safety of yourself and others by performing safety circle checks on equipment, creating work orders to repair damaged equipment, and keeping common workstations and areas clean.
Work as a team to overcome shift obstacles, exceed daily department targets and celebrate team successes.
Promote Tempo’s core values by working within all company policies and procedures.
Other duties as required by the Printing and Lamination Supervisor or Manager.

Schedule: Flex Life Schedule
12-hour shift, 3 days per week
Rotating every 2 weeks days and night (7:00AM to 7:00pm OR 7:00pm to 7:00AM)
Work 36 hours, paid for 40 hours
16 days off a month

Must be able to reliably commute to work – own transportation.
