What You’ll Do
Design, develop, and enhance backend services using Java and Spring Boot
Build and maintain REST APIs and distributed backend components
Work with relational and document databases (Postgres, MS SQL, MongoDB)
Collaborate directly with business users and traders to refine requirements and shape solutions
Lead and mentor junior developers, contributing to overall engineering quality
Work within a product-focused, fast-paced environment with high ownership expectations
Contribute to platform development in the Precious Metals & FICC Operations domain
What You Bring
5+ years of backend development experience with Java + Spring Boot
Strong experience building APIs and backend services
Hands-on experience with databases such as Postgres, MS SQL, and MongoDB
Excellent communication skills and comfort interacting directly with business stakeholders
Ability to work without Business Analysts (direct-to-business model)
Strong problem-solving, leadership, and mentoring skills
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, product-first engineering culture
Nice to Have
Experience with NodeJS + TypeScript
Exposure to React or general full-stack awareness
Background in Capital Markets, FICC, or Commodities engineering environments
