Dairy Products Canada G.P. is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic - Licensed, for an
existing opportunity within our organization Overview of the role: Reporting to
the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance, Licensed, Millwright is responsible
for completing repairs routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshooting of
filling machines, pasteurizing process systems, packaging systems, and conveyors
common to a dairy operation. This role requires hands-on execution which blends
working on the floor directly with equipment and operators, as well as tactful
time in the shop rebuilding and repairing. Schedule: Midnights - 11:00pm-7:30am
Salary: Licensed: Probationary Rate (90 working days) – $44.02; Licensed Top
Rate – $46.34A seventy-five cents ($0.75) per hour premium for all hours
worked to all Employees classified as maintenance is applied in addition to the
base hourly rate **Additional shift premiums apply for all hours worked during
premium shift times *** Tool Allowance shall be paid to the Maintenance
employees at the rate of eight hundred and thirty ($830) dollars We support and

Saputo products at a discounted price How you will make contributions that
matter: Carries out equipment modifications, and complete equipment overhauls,
as required. Completes preventative maintenance on assigned equipment.
Troubleshoots and repairs equipment in breakdown situations to ensure production
efficiencies are achieved. Take ownership of stock room management and provide
order requests of parts required for routine and preventive maintenance. Ensure
all equipment is maintained properly. Communicate with team to ensure
availability of replacement parts for key manufacturing equipment to minimize
unnecessary machine downtime. Works with other trades groups to repair
breakdowns, complete project assignments and provide training to Plant staff as
required. Documents and maintain all appropriate records including use of CMMS
for downtime recording. Follow all GMP’s and work in a manner consistent with
all corporate and regulatory quality and sanitation requirements. Comply and
ensure all work is performed safely while following OH&S, WSIB, and company
policies and procedures. Perform other duties, as assigned, by Maintenance
Supervisor or Maintenance Manager. You are best suited for the role if you have
the following qualifications: Must hold a 433A Industrial Mechanic (Millwright)
Certificate of Qualification Must provide a Skilled Trades Ontario Red Seal
Certification of Qualification and/or an Interprovincial Red Seal Endorsement
Certificate Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing
setting and equipment repairs Pneumatics and hydraulics knowledge required
Welding experience is an asset Minimum 1 year of experience related to food
industry, preferably dairy, or high-speed process equipment or packaging
experience Extensive experience with electromechanical preventative maintenance
and troubleshoot of high-speed automated packaging equipment TIG and Arc welding
experience with a strong fabricating ability is an asset Ability to work in a
highly automated environment Ability to read and understand Blueprints and
manuals Strong analytical skills Ability to work independently with minimum
supervision Highly motivated, results orientated, team player Dependable with a
good attendance and safety record Strong written and oral communication skills
in English Ability to support all shifts (days and afternoons), incl. weekends
