Job Description What is the Opportunity? RBC Global Asset Management (RBC GAM) is the asset management division of Royal Bank of Canada (RBC). RBC GAM provides global investment management services and solutions to individual, high-net-worth, and institutional investors through mutual funds, exchange-traded funds, hedge funds, pooled funds, separate accounts, and specialty investment strategies. The Financial Analyst, GAM Finance will support the GAM business in the production of monthly/quarterly financial reporting, data & analysis, and operational processes. This role will involve assisting in the preparation of financial results, supporting planning and forecasting activities, and leveraging business intelligence & data visualization tools for financial analysis. The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in finance and accounting, strong analytical skills, and a desire to grow within the organization. What will you do? Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for internal stakeholders. Conduct financial analysis, including variance analysis, trend analysis and scenario modeling to support decision-making. Participate in the forecasting and budgeting process by assisting with revenue and expense planning models. Utilize business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) to create interactive and informative dashboards for internal stakeholders. Analyze and interpret large datasets to identify trends and form actionable insights. Identify opportunities to integrate AI tools to automate repetitive tasks and improve efficiency. Assist in building and maintaining schedules, working files and reports for internal use. Perform ad-hoc tasks and analysis as required to support the team and broader business objectives. What do you need to succeed? Must-have: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Up to 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role (including internships or co-op placements). Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Proven experience in data analysis and data visualization. Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders. Nice-to-have: Progress toward CPA or CFA designation (or interest in pursuing). Familiarity with business intelligence tools such as Power BI and Tableau. Knowledge of financial services or asset management industries. Knowledge or interest in programming languages like Python or SQL. What’s in it for you?
