Job Description
As an Analyst, you will be responsible for implementing components of investment models that are used for total fund portfolio decisions. As a part of the team, you will also play an active role in supporting initiatives that deliver on the group’s broader objectives.
Accountabilities:
Contribute to implementing components of investment models and portfolio analytics used in strategic asset allocation and portfolio rebalancing.
Work directly with Investment partners to research, develop, test, integrate, and implement total fund quantitative models.
Apply programming expertise, optimization, linear algebra or numerical analysis techniques during the implementation to ensure robustness of algorithms and code.
Engage with quant researchers and portfolio managers to clarify specifications written in their respective business languages, ensuring completeness and correct interpretation.
Assess and communicate the impact of upcoming modeling changes on portfolio metrics that drive trading decisions.
Be mentored by experienced team members who will aid you to tap into your expertise and blend it with new skills learned on job.
Qualifications
Strong programming skills – Python, Git
Solid math foundation in linear algebra, statistics, or optimization theory
Undergraduate degree in relevant STEM field
An advanced degree is an asset
From 0 to 3 years of relevant work experience
Knowledge of/experience with portfolio asset allocation is considered an asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills
