Position: Marketing Manager – Food and Nutrition
Location: Ontario or Quebec Canada

We have an opening for a Marketing Manager to support and lead part of the Product Marketing team in Canada. Reporting to the Head of Product Marketing, the Marketing Manager will be responsible for managing the Product Market Manager and a portion of the Product Management team. The Marketing Manager will also play a key role in being a liaison for cross functional teams and processes which directly interact with the Product Marketing team.
This role will contribute to the Food and Nutrition Group’s leadership team.

The Marketing Manager's responsibilities include:
Leadership Responsibilities:
Support the group in defining and executing on the supplier/product marketing strategy within the team, aligned with our Quadra Supplier Management philosophy
Develop direct connection and relationships with Supplier Partners
Actively participate in industry events such as tradeshows, network within our target markets to support our growth objectives
Have direct management and leadership responsibility for the Product Market Manager and some of the Product Managers or Buyers within the group’s PM team
Translate strategic objectives into actionable goals and development plans
Foster a high-performance culture and strong collaboration between marketing and sales teams
Spearhead growth in terms of potential new products and target markets
Special projects as delegated by the Business Director or Head of Product Marketing geared towards the candidate’s key strengths
Be a leader and champion for the product marketing team within the organization
The Marketing Manager will lead and support the Product Managers whose responsibilities include:
Manage relationships with a domestic and international supplier base
Identify and provide a reliable and competitive supply of products for targeted markets
Build strong, multi-level relationships with suppliers through regular documented visits
Responsible for continued market development and sustained profitable growth of product portfolio
Central role in working very closely with the corporate sales force and balancing corporate objectives, customer requirements and supplier expectations
Be the expert of your key products and markets
Manage pricing and maintain price lists
Formally evaluate the performance of key suppliers
Be present at target industry events (i.e. trade shows, conferences, etc.) to gain market knowledge and awareness.
Build strong connections and relationships with the Quadra sales team based on trust, credibility and collaboration
Delivering presentations both for internal and external communication (i.e. suppliers, customers, conferences)
Being a key contributor to shaping group strategic objectives and achieving the mission statement

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Minimum 15 years previous experience in the Food industry, specifically in the ingredients sector
Minimum 10 years previous experience in a leadership role with direct reports.
Proven experience in product management/principal management
Proven experience in market analysis and development of marketing plans and strategies
Skilled in data analysis, reporting and presentation development
An understanding of the infrastructure needed to support a commodity development strategy
Willingness and ability to travel, up to 40% of the time (including overnight and internationally)
Proven advanced computer skills (Excel, Power Point; to work effectively with the Office 365 suite) as well as strong CRM skills (Salesforce experience would be an asset)
Self-motivated and able to work independently and handle pressure
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Proven business acumen and commercial knowledge
Proven ability to lead, manage performance and influence others
Enthusiastic about contributing to a high-performance culture and accustomed to a fast-paced environment
Valid driver’s license and passport

Compensation Information: The annual base pay range for this position is reasonably expected to be between $128,900 and $201,400. Please note that the base pay shown is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Base salary is only a part of the total rewards package - this role will also be eligible for a generous incentive program and full benefits. Quadra’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. Please note that the base pay shown qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
