Human Resources Generalist
Location: Edmonton, AB (Hybrid: 2 days from home, 3 days onsite)

Summary/Objective
We are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Generalist to support a dynamic and growing organization. In this cross-functional HR role, you will own day-to-day HR operations, work closely with managers and employees, and help drive a positive workplace culture. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives on problem-solving, and is eager to make an impact across all HR functions.
Key Responsibilities
Implement and administer employee policies and promote positive employee relations.
Provide HR support and guidance to employees and managers on a variety of HR issues, including performance management, employee relations, and compliance.
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process: job postings, resume screening, interviews, and offers.
Lead new employee onboarding, orientation, and offboarding, ensuring seamless transitions.
Maintain and update employee records in the HRIS, upholding data accuracy and confidentiality.
Assist with benefits administration: manage enrollments, handle claims, and answer employee questions.
Support leaves of absence, accommodation requests, and disability management.
Coordinate and support employee performance reviews, feedback cycles, and goal setting.
Report and track HR metrics (absence, turnover, engagement, etc.) to identify trends and recommend improvements.
Support disciplinary actions, assist with investigations, and ensure proper documentation.
Monitor and ensure compliance with employment standards, labour laws, and internal policy.
Respond to internal and external HR-related inquiries or requests and provide assistance.
Develop, update, and communicate HR procedures and policies to ensure best practices.
Assist with workplace health, safety, and wellness initiatives.
Organize and participate in employee events, engagement activities, and culture-building programs.
Participate in HR projects and process improvements as assigned.
Other duties as required by business needs.
Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
2+ years’ experience in HR, ideally in a generalist or coordinator capacity.
Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR best practices.
Experience with HRIS/payroll systems and recruitment platforms.
Excellent organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to handle sensitive situations and confidential information with professionalism.
Problem-solving mindset and adaptability to changing business needs.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
