Job Description What is the opportunity? As a Senior Manager, Project Portfolio Management & Strategy Execution, you will be responsible for supporting strategy deployment into the Project Portfolio, generating insights, and providing financial perspective to enable and propel PB forward through project investment decisions. You will have the opportunity to own key initiatives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, while working with a passionate and collaborative team in addressing a significant societal problem. What will you do? The role will consist of 3 pillars – Project Financial Insights, Project Portfolio Planning, and Strategy Execution in addition to coaching and supporting the growth of 2 indirect reports within the team. Project Portfolio Plan Lead annual financial plans, forecasts, multi-year outlooks, and other schedules as required. Collaborate, engage, and advise functional leaders. Manage assessment of Plan’s contribution and connection to Horizon Plans, with insight on whether Strategic Outcomes set by OC are progressing as intended Business casing of cross-functional projects and initiatives to support prioritization model’s ROI perspective Support Manager in their retro of previous Plans’ prioritization cycle with drive to automation and perspectives on improvement Project Financial Insights Lead ongoing monitoring, analysis, and reporting of the business outcomes from executive/OC discussions and cross-functional performance forums. The incumbent will need to recognize trends, determine strategy effectiveness, and provide recommendations for further enhancements. Play active role in facilitating the organization’s analytical maturity and data driven decision-making muscles, monitoring & supporting investment pivots based on trends, weekly MIS reports, and POG, while finding opportunities to develop additional insight tools Guide Manager in reducing reactivity to trends by automating reporting to proactively develop insights from MIS/PV Strategy Execution Lead P&CB Strategy horizon planning and execution plan beyond Transformation/Delivery Engines Support cross-functional connectivity of the Portfolio Investments to the P&CB Strategy, LOB Strategy, BPRs etc. Participate in competitive landscape assessment to drive both short-term and long-term business strategy alignment Synthesize findings from research and data analysis to formulate perspective on key strategic initiatives What do you need to succeed? Must Have: 4-6 years of experience with a focus on consulting, strategy, or related roles Strong proficiency in excel - must have the ability to use a wide array of formulas to derive insights from data in an organized and logical manner Strong communication, presentation methods (storyboard, visual communication) and interpersonal skills; strong proficiency with PowerPoint and Excel Strategic mindset: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to bring conceptual / framework thinking and leadership; ability to deal with complexity and ambiguity Organizational skills: Plans and prioritizes with ability to oversee and/or be involved in multiple work streams concurrently with advanced project management skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders Entrepreneurial mindset: Proactive and has ability to drive to outcomes with limited oversight Ability to generate and drive momentum and bring tasks to completion in short time frames. Nice to Have: Previous experience with Planview Administration and configuration or similar tools Data, financial and business casing analysis Knowledge of RBC Planning, Portfolio and Project tools Working experience with relevant and standard desktop software (Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project, etc.) Undergraduate degree in Business/ Technology along with advanced critical thinking and analytical skills to support executive management decision-making.
