As a member of the Clinics team, provides clinical support to patients in collaboration with the physicians, nurses and other health care workers. Functions according to the job description for Health Care Aide Clinical.
- Personal Support Worker or Health Care Aide certificate required
- Previous outpatient clinic experience preferred
- Computer familiarity or willingness to learn computer skills as required
- Demonstrated effective communication (verbal and written), interpersonal, teamwork skills
- Demonstrated initiative and judgement appropriate for the position
- Ability to accept assigned or delegated functions
- Ability to set priorities and organize work accordingly
- Ability to deal with various hospital departments effectively and collaboratively
- Ability to lift using appropriate lifting techniques and bend, push and pull using good body mechanics
- Complete Heart and Stroke Foundation course in CPR preferred
