Accreditation Coordinator, College of Dentistry
Primary Purpose: The Accreditation Coordinator serves as the central hub for all accreditation activities in the College of Dentistry. This role coordinates, monitors, writes, and consolidates all accreditation submissions and progress reports for all programs in the College and Continuing Education to ensure full compliance with all standards and timelines.
Nature of Work: This role requiring independent judgment, exceptional writing skills, and high attention to detail. The position collaborates closely with the Dean, Director of Finance and Administration, Associate Deans, Academic directors, Director of Clinics, faculty, staff, and accrediting agencies. It manages multiple overlapping accreditation cycles, major submissions, and site visits. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during peak accreditation periods.
Typical Duties or Accountabilities:
Accreditation Planning and Coordination
Act as the primary coordinator and information hub for all accreditation activities in the College
Maintain a comprehensive accreditation master calendar with all deadlines, site visits, and required deliverables
Lead the writing, editing, and combining of self-study reports, annual reports, interim reports, and progress reports for all programs
Coordinate college-wide responses to accreditation conditions, recommendations, and follow-up requirements
Documentation, Evidence, and Data Management
Develop and maintain a centralized digital repository for all accreditation documents, standards, evidence, and data
Collect, verify, and organize data (e.g. qualitative and quantitative) required for accreditation submissions
Ensure all evidence is complete, accurate, consistent, and audit-ready
Liaison and Communication
Serve as the primary contact for accrediting agencies for all routine communications and submissions
Communicate accreditation expectations, changes, and timelines clearly to Academic Directors, faculty, and staff
Support accreditation committees, working groups, and task forces across programs
Site Visit Coordination
Organize logistics, schedules, documentation access, and briefings for all accreditation site visits
Prepare faculty, staff, and students for reviewer meetings
Provide onsite and virtual support to visiting teams
Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement
Monitor program compliance with accreditation standards and identify potential gaps or risks
Assist Academic directors in preparing and tracking action plans for recommendations and conditions
Contribute to internal policy development and quality-assurance processes aligned with accreditation requirements
Orient new Academic directors and faculty to accreditation responsibilities
Other Duties
Undertake any additional responsibilities assigned by the College leadership to support the overall success of the accreditation portfolio and strategic goals of the College of Dentistry
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field (education, health sciences, business, public administration)
Graduate degree or training in accreditation, quality assurance, or project management is an asset
Experience:
3–5 years of experience in higher-education accreditation, quality assurance, or health-professions education
Experience writing major reports, integrating large volumes of information, and coordinating multi-stakeholder projects
Experience working with accrediting bodies preferred
Skills:
Exceptional written communication and ability to write, synthesize, and integrate complex accreditation documents
Strong organizational and project-management skills
High accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines
Strong analytical and data-management abilities
Effective interpersonal and collaboration skills
Proficiency with office software, databases, and document-management systems

Salary: The salary range, based on 1.0 FTE, is $69,035.00 - 107,868.00 per annum. The starting salary will be commensurate with education and experience.
