The Industrial Engineer will be responsible for direct/indirect labor and
activities affecting line speed, cycle checks, scrolls and workstation
assignments, change control and line balancing. The Industrial Engineer
(Contract) must also utilize SPW concepts to identify/eliminate waste and
perform time/motion studies; assist the IE Manager and IE Supervisor with
technical services to maintain efficient levels of lean manufacturing and
manning.

Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering
- Must have strong understanding of the Workplace Organization pillar
- Must have good understanding of both Cost Deployment and Focused Improvement
pillars
- Must have ability to work as part of a team, be self-motivated, and can
interface with all levels of management and labour
- Must have good analytical, written and verbal communication skills
- Must have experience in throughput analysis and ability to apply method
improvements
- Must have experience in identifying manpower redeployment opportunities and
work station layout design improvements
- Experience in managing projects, timelines through completion
- Experience managing skilled employees and contractors on installation of
projects
- Ability to create good working relationships with Union personnel
- Must have proficient Google and Microsoft Office computer skills
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
- Must have the ability to work off standard hours as required
