JOB SUMMARY OR PURPOSE STATEMENT:
We are seeking a Corporate Document Controller for the administration, procedural and systems management of human resource documentation. The position is office based in Nisku, Alberta and will report formally into the Java Document Control lead, and operationally to People & Culture.
KEY (CORE) DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Document Management
§ Organize and classify human resource documentation
§ Serve as the operational Interface between the People & Culture, Document Control and Systems business functions
§ Identify and escalate human resource documentation capture, classification and management issues and concerns
- Document Management Processes and Procedures
§ Support the development, standardization, and operational execution of document management processes, procedures, templates and system workflows.
§ Provide training and support to applicable stakeholders on document management processes, procedures, and systems.
- Maintaining Digital Document Management System
§ Ensuring that all documentation is correctly classified in the company document management system in a timely manner
§ Ensuring quality of information contained in the company document management system
§ documents are correctly and completely coded with the appropriate meta data,
§ active documentation is the most current version
§ prevention of document duplication
§ Identify and report deficiencies and/or problems with the company document management system.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
§ Minimum 1 year document management /control experience
§ Experience with maintaining a digital document management system
§ Specific experience with Human Resource document management is an asset
§ Highly proficient with the Microsoft suite of Office applications, and Adobe PDF.
