Automation Specialist Status: Regular, Full time Location: Langley, British Columbia Job Description JOB DUTIES: Design, specify, program and commission automation systems including PLC, VFD, HMI, SCADA, and more. Test systems in the shop Working in the field to commission systems Working with remote connection devices to troubleshoot and update systems Design, specify and commission. Secure control networks Ensure work environment is safe at all time REQUIREMENTS: Automation, Controls & SCADA Hands-on PLC, HMI, and SCADA experience (Schneider Electric required; Rockwell a strong asset) VTScada experience preferred; other platforms a bonus Networking & Communications Strong understanding of Modbus (TCP preferred) and Ethernet/IP Experience with Schneider remote I/O Ability to configure Layer 2/3 switches and VLANs Familiar with remote access tools (Ewon, VPN, tunneling) Instrumentation & Field Systems Troubleshoot analog (4–20 mA, 0–10 V) and digital/relay I/O Experience with VFDs (Schneider, Yaskawa, ABB) and system integration Ability to integrate meters, ATS, UPS, and related equipment Communication & Documentation Strong technical communication in English; French is an asset Clear, consistent documentation skills .
