GeoSpectrum is growing and has a new career opportunity for an Operations Lead to join our team in Peterborough, Ontario!
The Operations Lead is responsible for overseeing various aspects of operations at GTI’s facility in Ontario, to support project and organizational needs. This role works closely with both coworkers at the Ontario office and GTI’s head office.
The Lead takes ownership of executing key responsibilities for the Ontario office, providing leadership in day-to-day operations while ensuring alignment with corporate standards, policies, and processes established by head office. They act as the primary contact for operations responsibilities for the Ontario office, mentoring local team members, and supporting the organization’s commitment to occupational health, safety, and ISO9001 standards.

Responsibilities
Quality Assurance
Inspections on raw materials, sub-assemblies, finished products, and systems.
Maintain calibration and certification systems for critical equipment and tools.
Develop, review, and maintain quality documentation aligned with company policies, and regulatory / contractual requirements.
Procurement & Inventory Management
Administer purchase orders, quotes, and procurement records using ERP systems.
Track inventory accuracy, support transfers and returns, and generate detailed reports.
Ensure proper labeling, storage, and warehouse mapping for efficient material handling.
Project Quality & Compliance Support
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate quality requirements into project planning and execution.
Support issue resolution processes (MRB, NCR, ECR, RMA, CAR) to maintain timelines and quality standards.
Record and report quality actions and metrics to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Logistics & Shipping Coordination
Act as the primary contact for internal and external logistics inquiries.
Schedule and manage incoming and outgoing shipments to meet project timelines.
Prepare shipping documentation, customs forms, and dangerous goods paperwork.
Package, inspect, and label shipments to ensure compliance and safety standards.
Information Technology and Cybersecurity
Oversee office IT hardware and service needs
Ensure alignment with GTI IT and CS policies and practices
Facility Management
Oversee day-to-day needs of the facility
Support and manage future changes to the facility
Qualifications
Post-secondary education in Quality, Supply Chain Management, Engineering Technology, Commerce, or relevant career experience.
Minimum ten (10) years working in quality assurance, Supply Chain management, or related operational field.
Proven experience in leading site-level initiatives, mentoring team members, and driving process improvements in a ISO9001 certified organization.
Experience in implementing continuous improvement strategies and managing change effectively.
Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to oversee multiple, complex projects and contracts.
Advanced financial, procurement, and commercial business acumen.
Security Requirements
All candidates must be eligible to apply for and maintain Canadian Controlled Goods and Canadian Government Security Clearances.
Work Location
This role is on-site at our Peterborough, Ontario office. This role will require occasional travel to our head office in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
