Summary:
The Finance Co-op Student is responsible for scanning, organizing, and digitizing financial documents while assisting the finance team with various administrative and clerical tasks.
Job Duties:
- Scan, digitize, and electronically file financial documents to support the company’s paperless initiative.
- Review scanned documents for accuracy, completeness, and proper formatting.
- Organize digital files in accordance with company naming conventions and record-keeping standards.
- Assist with maintaining document databases and ensuring easy retrieval of information.
- Support the finance team with general administrative tasks, including data entry, filing, photocopying, and document preparation.
- Help update spreadsheets, forms, and basic financial records as needed.
- Respond to internal document requests and provide support during audits or reviews.
- Contribute to process improvement opportunities related to document management and workflow efficiency.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Co-op program in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Comfortable working with digital filing systems and office technology (scanner, printer, etc.).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills and willingness to work both independently and within a team.
- Experience with cloud-based storage systems (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive).
- Interest in process improvement and digital transformation initiatives.
