Facilities and Property Coordinator

One of a network of provincial community health centres, the NorWest Community Health Centres is a community based, non-profit organization funded by Ontario Health, emphasizing access to primary health care and prevention programs and services.
We are currently seeking a 1 FTE Facilities and Property Coordinator who as a valuable member of the Community Health Centre is responsible for providing facilities administration to all NorWest CHC sites which include Thunder Bay, HART Hub, Kakabeka, Armstrong and Longlac.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Undergraduate degree in relevant discipline (ie – business or engineering) or equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
Ability to work independently and take initiative to perform job requirements, manage multi-tasks and perform duties as required.
Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary setting.
Minimum 5 years experience in property management.
Effective problem solving skills.
Sound knowledge of the basic principles and techniques in building systems, maintenance, cleaning and mechanical repair; experience in large, high traffic facilities would be an asset.
Supervisory experience of staff.
Knowledge and skills in project management processes and techniques, as well as budgeting processes.
Ability to lead capital projects.
Demonstrated proficiency in software applications, including Microsoft office programs.
High level of organizational and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to being a “team player.”
Valid driver’s license and use of a reliable vehicle.
