Program Overview – Community Programs Unit, Workforce Development
The Manager, Corporate Workforce Solutions plays a central role in strengthening employment outcomes for WoodGreen clients by coordinating internal workforce solutions related programming efforts, leveraging employer feedback, and enhancing client readiness for sustainable employment.
This position focuses on operational excellence and collaboration ensuring that hiring events, pre-screening activities, client training, mentorship opportunities, and feedback loops are effectively aligned to support job seeker success. The Manager leads the coordination of hiring events, client preparation sessions, and skills-based workshops, translating employer insights into structured readiness frameworks that help job seekers achieve long-term success.
The role works closely and collaboratively with the Managers of Integrated Employment Services, Managers of Workforce Solutions, Employment Consultants, Job Developers, and the Career Success Coaches (retention team) to ensure a unified approach to client preparation, event coordination, and post-placement support.
What You Will Do
Lead the coordination of large-scale and sector-focused hiring initiatives, ensuring all internal teams are aligned in planning, candidate preparation, client training, hiring events and post-event evaluation to improve client employment outcomes.
Facilitate collaboration across departments to consolidate and manage candidate pipelines, integrating standardized pre-screening frameworks that enhance job readiness and consistency in candidate quality.
Translate employer feedback from hiring events, mentorship programs, and follow-ups into actionable process improvements that strengthen training, readiness frameworks, and employer satisfaction.
Develop structured systems for capturing, analyzing, and reporting hiring event data, including candidate conversions, retention, and quality outcomes, ensuring these insights inform future program design.
Coordinate internal client readiness activities, including skills training workshops, mock interviews, and mentorship sessions, ensuring clients are well-prepared for employer interactions and job placements.
Ensure continuous alignment between workforce programs and employer expectations by maintaining clear communication channels across departments and integrating feedback into service delivery.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that employer partnerships are sustained beyond events, contributing to long-term workforce development goals and integrated volunteer or mentorship pathways.
Maintain all activities in the CRM and other tools to actively develop and track action plans for ongoing and upcoming initiatives.
Corporate Hiring & Relationship Management
Manage end-to-end hiring event coordination, ensuring employers receive a curated, pre-screened pool of qualified candidates.
Collaborate with internal job developers, employment consultants, and training teams to align candidate readiness with employer expectations.
Develop and maintain a feedback framework to improve candidate quality, hiring timelines, and overall employer satisfaction.
Maintain ongoing engagement with employer champions and industry partners to identify emerging workforce needs.
Corporate Volunteering & Community Engagement
Implement and coordinate corporate volunteering activities for key employer accounts identified by the Foundation team.
Engage continuously with operational teams to understand their needs and design volunteering opportunities that support those initiatives.
Screen, match, and coordinate volunteers to ensure suitable placement and effective participation in identified activities.
Maintain and update databases and records related to corporate volunteering activities, participation, and outcomes.
Mentorship Ecosystem & Job Seeker Empowerment
Design and implement a centralized mentorship framework connecting job seekers from multiple WoodGreen programs with professionals across various industries.
Identify and manage partnerships with mentorship platforms, networks, and employer-led programs.
Coordinate mentorship integration across internal programs, ensuring youth, newcomers, and trades participants receive equitable access to mentorship opportunities.
Establish recognition systems for mentors and corporate partners contributing to workforce development.
General Responsibilities
Ensure the anti-racism objectives and community development principles of the organization are achieved within the programs.
Work with other staff to ensure ongoing collaboration and coordination within the unit and the organization.
Contribute to the achievement of WoodGreen Community Programs Unit’s wider objectives through collaboration with the management team.
Adhere to policies and procedures such as service standards, Collective Agreement, Privacy, Bill 168, AODA standards and other related legislations.
Work with partner organizations to enhance service capacity and client benefits.
Responsible for upgrading training and education as required by WoodGreen.
What You Bring to the Team
Bachelor's or master's degree major in Human Resource, Public Administration, Sales / Marketing, or a related discipline.
3–5 years of progressive experience in employer engagement, workforce development, HR partnership roles, or community-based workforce programs.
Demonstrated success in managing end-to-end corporate relationships and coordinating hiring events or volunteer programs that deliver measurable employment outcomes.
Experience designing or implementing mentorship frameworks, CSR initiatives, or employer-driven talent pipelines.
What Will Set You Apart
Strong understanding of corporate recruitment practices, CSR/DEI objectives, and workforce trends in the Greater Toronto Area.
Proficient in CRM systems (such as Microsoft Dynamics, HubSpot, or Salesforce) and data-driven reporting tools for tracking employer engagement and outcomes.
Excellent communication, presentation, and partnership management skills with the ability to engage C-Suite, Senior HR, CSR, and Operations leaders.
Experience working collaboratively with multi-stakeholder teams (internal and external) to align employer needs with program objectives.
Strategic thinker with a strong understanding of corporate and community partnership dynamics.
Results-driven and able to translate employer feedback into tangible employment outcomes.
Strong relationship builder who can navigate complex stakeholder environments and maintain long-term partnerships.
Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to plan and execute sector-specific hiring events and volunteering initiatives.
Analytical and data-oriented mindset with attention to impact measurement and continuous improvement.
