About the opportunity:
We’re looking for a Senior NPI Manager to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of visual technology. You’ll have these opportunities to:

In this role, you will be responsible for driving sourcing strategy and supplier readiness for new product development and launches across Christie’s advanced product lines. You will be a key partner to Engineering, Operations, and our Commodity Management team in Shenzhen, ensuring supplier capabilities align with Christie’s technical, cost, and innovation requirements. This is a hands-on, strategic role that requires both deep sourcing expertise and the ability to integrate seamlessly with engineering teams to deliver competitive, manufacturable, and innovative products.
Responsibilities:
Serve as the primary partner to Kitchener Engineering, ensuring material and supplier decisions enable performance, manufacturability, and scalability
Partner closely with Commodity Management and Shenzhen Supply Chain teams to align on supplier strategy and execution
Build strong supplier relationships across diverse commodities, driving quality, cost, and capacity readiness
Manage supplier selection, onboarding, and readiness from prototype through ramp
Anticipate risks and lead mitigation to protect launch schedules
Influence design-for-manufacture and design-for-cost decisions early in the product lifecycle
Partner with Operations and Program Management to ensure flawless product launch execution
Lead sourcing and supplier readiness from concept through production ramp, ensuring seamless handoff to sustaining supply chain teams
Mentor and guide sourcing professionals on the global team
Work with Supply Chain and Engineering leadership to prepare technology roadmaps, supplier support and identify gaps

The experience and skills we value:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Business, or related discipline
10+ years of progressive experience in strategic sourcing, commodity management, or NPI supply chain within high-tech hardware, electronics, or optics industries
Strong track record of partnering with engineering and R&D teams to influence component selection, design-for-manufacture, and design-for-cost
Demonstrated experience leading supplier selection, qualification, and readiness from prototype to production ramp
Previous success managing suppliers and contract manufacturers in Asia
Broad knowledge across multiple commodities, including:
Optical components and assemblies (lenses, light engines, projection systems)
Electromechanical parts (motors, actuators, fans, power supplies)
Precision mechanicals (machined parts, sheet metal, plastics)
Electronics and PCB assemblies (PCBA, semiconductors, connectors)
EMS/ODM/OEM supplier engagement and management
Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers, and supply market dynamics
Familiarity with supply risk management (geopolitical, capacity, compliance etc.)
Strong business acumen with the ability to translate engineering requirements into sourcing strategies
Comfortable working in fast-paced, highly cross-functional environments with shifting priorities
What will put you ahead:
Experience working with audio visual product lines
Certification in any of the following: CPP, CSCMP, CPIM
