Summary
The Production Control Support(s) is responsible for the timely and accurate review of inventory consumptions and production outputs in the ERP system. This position supports operations staff by creating, updating and reviewing production orders, materials to be used within the Bill of Materials (BOM), managing and controlling Work in Process (WIP) and introduction of Re-work product into daily operations. This position will require technical and specific information of Production BOMs, Variants, SKUs, Work Centers and Routings within the ERP system as well as technical and operations knowledge of Shop Floor. The Production Control Support team provides assistance in reviewing consumption, and time card entries within specific work centers throughout the day.
Responsibilities
Create and modify work orders as per daily production plan and review the plan throughout the day should plans change. Restimecardfor adding variants to the production orders if necessary.
Effectively communicate the production schedule to all production lines and co-ordinate with line leads, supervisors and mixing to ensure daily plans are known and adhered to.
Manage Work in Process (WIP) to ensure that inventory is used based on quality specifications and does not expire.
Liaise with inventory staff to ensure product required for production is on the floor and take action if anything is missing. Ensure product not required for production is off the floor at end of evening shift. Ensure all WIP product is weighed and labelled.
Cycle counting WIP and film inventory to make sure physical counts match electronic inventory
Document process changes and update SOP’s
Create / Correct labels for buggies and license plates for moving inventory.
Assists production by filling in on the line, sanitizing and opening wip, and other duties as required.
Who you are
Experience in Manufacturing and ERP systems.
Experience in the food manufacturing or other GMP industries preferred
Knowledge of purchasing, receiving, inventory flow required
Work experience with Operations preferred
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft office 365, Business Central, Shop Floor.
Attention to detail in all areas of work
Excellent time and project management skills
Able to work well under pressure and meet set deadlines
High level of critical and logical thinking, analysis, and/or reasoning to identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts
Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
