Job Description
We are seeking an intermediate-level Network Administrator with a specialty in security to support the daily operations of our network environment. The ideal candidate has 4–5 years of hands-on experience managing and troubleshooting WAN, VPN, and firewall technologies in an enterprise setting. This role is primarily operations-focused and requires participation in an on-call rotation to support 24/7 availability of critical network services.
Key Responsibilities :
Network Operations & Support
Provide day-to-day administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of WAN, LAN, Wi-Fi and VPN connectivity
Respond to network incidents and service requests, ensuring timely resolution and communication with stakeholders
Perform routine maintenance, upgrades, and changes to network devices following change management processes
Support branch and remote site connectivity, including coordination with ISPs and third-party vendors
WAN & Security Management
Administer and support WAN technologies (e.g., MPLS, SD-WAN, site-to-site VPNs, internet circuits)
Configure and maintain firewalls, VPNs, and related security policies (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, or equivalent)
Implement and maintain secure network architectures, including segmentation and access control
Assist with rollout of network security standards and best practices across sites
Monitoring, Incident Response & On-Call
Monitor network performance and availability using network management and monitoring tools
Investigate and resolve network alerts, performance issues, and security-related events
Participate in an on-call rotation to provide after-hours support for critical network issues
Escalate complex incidents to senior engineers or vendors as needed, while retaining ownership and oversight
Documentation & Continuous Improvement
Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and procedures
Contribute to knowledge base articles and standard operating procedures for common tasks and incidents
Identify recurring issues and propose improvements to reduce incident frequency and impact
Support small to medium network projects and changes, ensuring operational readiness and smooth handover
Collaboration
Work closely with systems, security, and service desk teams to ensure stable and secure operations
Provide technical input to support security initiatives, audits, and compliance activities
Communicate clearly with non-technical stakeholders about network issues and planned work
Qualifications
4–5 years of hands-on experience as a Network Administrator or similar role in an enterprise environment
Practical experience managing WAN technologies (MPLS, SD-WAN, VPN) and internet circuits.
Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls and VPN solutions (e.g., Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, or equivalent)
Solid understanding of routing and switching (e.g., OSPF, BGP, VLANs, trunking, STP)
Solid understanding of Wi-Fi networks, concepts and best practices
Experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., SolarWinds, PRTG, Wireshark, etc.)
Familiarity with network security concepts, best practices, and basic incident response.
Comfortable participating in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work for incidents or changes
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a customer-service mindset
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent
Experience in multi-site or distributed environments (e.g., manufacturing, retail, or branch-heavy organizations)
Exposure to SD-WAN solutions and “next-generation” firewalls
Basic scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, PowerShell, or Ansible) for operational tasks
