Frima is looking for a Senior 3C Expert Designer, Mobile Shooter to help take its game design team to the next level.

Job Description
What your weeks are going to look like
Propose and evolve high-level 3C solutions for Character, Controls, and Camera systems, while respecting the game vision, multi-platform constraints, partner expectations, and the realities of the current project
Analyze existing 3C foundations, quickly identify gameplay, responsiveness, and ergonomics issues, then recommend concrete improvements based on competitive mobile shooter standards
Make design decisions on 3C systems, supported by data and best practices, in collaboration with the Lead Designer or Game Director for major strategic directions
Design, prototype, and iterate on 3C mechanics to validate design hypotheses, support the team in implementation, and ensure a strong, consistent, and competitive experience
Work closely with Production, the Lead Designer, and the gameplay, UI, UX, data, and tech teams to ensure smooth 3C integration and continuous alignment with the partner
Act as the project’s 3C reference and help maintain a long-term product vision
Support and grow the team’s designers by sharing expertise and helping unblock complex challenges
Contribute to the design community through mentorship, ongoing training, and sharing best practices tailored to mobile shooter productions
Improve the project’s 3C processes and standards, document learnings, and propose reusable approaches
Participate in retrospectives and project reviews
Qualifications
What we're looking for
College diploma in video game design or another related field combined with equivalent experience;
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in video game design;
Strong command of design tools: 3D level editors, Unreal game engine, scripting tools, and modeling tools;
Experience bringing a highly successful shooter game to market;
Good proficiency in French and English, both spoken and written;
Portfolio required, demonstrating your work (French or English, English strongly recommended);
Excellent command of both written and spoken French and English. English proficiency is required, as we collaborate with English-speaking partners;
Available to travel internationally when needed.
