If you already run a kitchen and want a role with reach, stability and real growth, this is it. We are one of Banff’s largest hospitality employers and you will lead a kitchen in a busy property in a town where great food matters. You will work with a strong leadership team who understands the pressures of high-volume service.
What you take on:
• Full responsibility for kitchen operations
• Lead and develop a team with clear standards and expectations
• Recruit, train and coach staff to keep turnover low
• Build strong communication with front of house and other departments
• Maintain training programs and company standards
• Hit revenue targets by managing labour, food costs and expenses
• Maintain consistent quality, flavour and presentation
• Estimate food and labour needs accurately
• Cook for groups, tours, a la carte and buffet service
• Control waste and keep the kitchen safe
• Identify training needs and follow up
• Recognize strong performance
• Take on other operational duties as needed
What you bring
• Three years as a Chef, Sous Chef or Kitchen Manager
• Strong record of food quality, consistency and cost control
• Clear interest in hospitality and team leadership
• Detail focused with a commitment to high standards
• Hands on leadership style in a fast-paced environment
