Be a part of our Commercial Americas Procurement team as the Regional Category Manager for Market Research, leading all aspects of all functions within the Americas territory. This position is essential for aligning Category Strategies with current and future business needs, ensuring that our supply base can support these strategies optimally. Accountabilities: As the Regional Category Manager, Market Research, you will be responsible for implementing the Market Research regional category plan for the Americas region. Collaborating closely with business collaborators, alignment with business needs will be maintained as you offer mentorship on and lead procurement strategies. Your duties will include preparing competitive bids, quotations, and proposals, negotiating with suppliers, and handling stakeholder and supplier relationships. You will lead project initiatives tied to category strategies to deliver value to the business, ensure sustainability initiatives with key suppliers within the category, and lead cost, service, SLAs, data quality and privacy compliance considerations, and other negotiations for strategic suppliers in the region. Additionally, you will ensure appropriate sourcing strategies across qualitative, quantitative, syndicated, and custom research, partnering with stakeholders to optimize panel sourcing, sample quality, and insight delivery timelines. Essential Skills/Experience: · 5 or more years of meaningful work experience, including Procurement/Category Management/Supply Chain experience · Oral and written proficiency in Business English · Strong analytical and financial skills · Strong communicator, ability to influence others · Supplier or Project Management experience, including the ability to drive negotiations to closure under time constraints · Ability to harness a range of influencing techniques · Proven track record to manage change · Comfort with risk and ambiguous situations · Proficiency in market research methodologies and vendors (e.g., qualitative/quantitative, primary/secondary, syndicated data providers) and critical factors such as respondent quality, data privacy, and compliance Desirable Skills/Experience: · Professional Procurement Qualification · Experience with Market Research, Financial, or other Professional Services procurement categories · Strong solid understanding of the pharmaceutical industry / or related industries · Significant experience in Category Management · Significant negotiation experience with favorable outcomes for stakeholders, including experience negotiating rates, licensing and data usage rights, panel/sample acquisition, and deliverable At AstraZeneca, we are driven by a bold vision to eliminate cancer as a cause of death.
