QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST Who is a Quality Assurance Specialist? The Quality Assurance (QA) Specialist is responsible for testing functionality against criteria across all areas of development, both manually and with automated tools. They support the successful development, maintenance and enhancement of systems by implementing a comprehensive and standardized approach to testing. The QA Specialist is passionate about product quality, has an impeccable eye for detail that reinforces high standards for digital products and user experiences that engage members and sets GoodLife apart from the competition. The QA Specialist is responsible for creating test cases for products based on requirements and unique regression testing needs, as well as driving process improvements in the QA function. They will execute test cases, manage issues in a defect management tool, and communicate testing status and test metrics to key stakeholders. What will you be doing? Supports development by applying an understanding of company software testing methodologies, quality standards, and internal and external controls, staying current on industry trends and practices, and promoting continuous improvement. Assists in the management of the software defect life cycle, participating in root cause analysis of identified defects. Assists in the development and management of QA deliverables and deadlines. Tracks project milestones and provides status reports to IT and business stakeholders as appropriate. Helps determine testing scope and approach. Identifies, defines, and mitigates issues, dependencies, and risks related to testing. Verifies the validation of test data and environment requirements, ensuring test plans and timelines are aligned with project/program milestones Assists in making recommendations for framework enhancements and supports gate assessments for various development life cycle stages with guidance from senior team members as appropriate Assists as needed in the development of the software quality assurance test strategy for assigned Digital Experience initiatives by analyzing business and technology requirements to ensure testability and traceability Do you have what it takes? Bachelor’s Degree 3 years of experience in software development/QA experience Experience working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities. A master at multi-tasking with strong time-and project-management skills In-depth knowledge and understanding of web-based languages for diagnosing issues and developing test plans - HTML, CSS, JavaScript/jQuery, JSON, XML. Understanding and experience with writing and executing test scripts using ASP.NET, MVC, C#, SQL Server 2008+. Compensation: It is expected that the selected candidate will start at a base salary of $65,000. This position is eligible for bonuses in addition to the base salary. The annual range of expected compensation for the position is $65,000 - $87,000 determined by performance, time in the position and variable compensation earned.
