As the Specialist, EV Strategy, you will be instrumental in supporting strategic initiatives and processes necessary to transition our organization to an electric future. You will collaborate with various Nissan teams & support cross-functional projects to enhance Nissan’s position in the EV Era. The position will also be responsible for supporting internal governance related to the Electrification & will report to the Senior Manager of Corporate Strategy & Electrification. A Day in the Life: Identification of Key Electrification initiatives - Product & Service opportunities Support preparation for executive decision making by defining strategic goals, revenue potential, investments, and a roadmap for execution. Support development of Mid & Long-term Electrification strategy for Nissan in Canada Support performance, revenue, billing management etc. of in-market EV initiatives viz. Nissan Energy Charge Network, Residential electrification etc. Benchmark key competitors & third-party players for strategic decision making EV Partner Management – Support development of new vendors, manage existing suppliers, Contract reviews, customer initiatives/experience etc. Work cross regionally with Nissan Global & regional teams on future initiatives and identifying synergies, best practices etc. Support EV education & training initiatives - Material development and review, Employee awareness, Nissan.ca content, training videos etc. Support regional dealer partners to identify & plug key knowledge gaps on Nissan’s electrified products & initiatives Who We’re Looking for: Experience in leading projects related to electric vehicles or the automotive business is a plus. Good understanding of electric vehicle technology and Canadian market dynamics. Strong communication skills. French language ability is a plus. Commitment to sustainability principles and the environment. Incumbent must have excellent analytical and organizational skills. Incumbent must have a valid driver’s licence and be able to drive automatic transmission vehicles. There are a wide variety of internal and external contacts, involving sensitive, complex and detailed issues (ie. communicating product specs & focus to advertising people). Incumbent requires good interpersonal skills to support discussions with Global/NNA teams/External vendors. Strong listening and facilitation skills are required when dealing realistically with customer, dealer and internal department expectations re: EV needs and potential for improvement. Conflict resolution skills may be required when managing limited resource requirements and multiple demands on time. Good presentation and advocacy skills are required for various internal decision making meetings.
